Los océanos sostienen los sistemas ambientales del planeta y su salud determina la del resto de los ecosistemas. Sin embargo, la sobreexplotación, el cambio climático, la contaminación, las especies invasoras y la falta de gobernanza efectiva amenazan seriamente su sostenibilidad.

A través de la investigación generamos evidencia científica para identificar estos desafíos y proponer soluciones de conservación.

Oceans

Oceans are at the base of all our environmental and ecological systems. The health of the oceans determines the health of the rest of our planet. Resource extraction, climate change, pollution, and invasive species stress marine systems and threaten the future of our oceans’ well-being. The lack of effective governance and  social institutions present challenges for ocean conservation and sustainability.
